Zeny and Rupees (sometimes referred as “money”) are the main currencies in the game.

The conversion rate is: 1 Zeny = 10,000 Rupees. Conversion between Zeny and Rupees is done automatically: as soon as you collect 10000 Rupees, they will become 1 Zeny, and the other way around.

Obtaining the money

Common ways of obtaining the money is to sell items (like monster drop) to vendor NPCs or to other players using the auction or trades.

Money can also be obtained as rewards for completing quests and dungeons.
